LICENSURE                                      I have passed the General Knowledge and ESL comprehensive exams for my Florida teaching certificate but, since I've taught virtually my whole life in private schools, I do not meet the two years of institutionalized teaching requirement. All I have is one full year at Nanjing University (helping them implement their new NCC program) and one full semester at the Nanjing Military Academy (teaching cadets to debate controversial subjects). My most recent licensure is with the Lake County school board as a substitute teacher.

I was registered as a licensed reading mentor for the Orange County School System. (2004 - 2006)

With Arthur Murray and the American Dance Teachers Association (ADTA) at all levels of professional coaching, analyzing, teaching, and dance studio operations.

I was also a licensed “Trainers’ Trainer” for V. J. Mortensen Company, teaching Mortensen more than Math™ (until they abandoned their Distributorship program).

To make extra money, I acquired a securities license during the three years I spent as an Investment Advisor for FAS Wealth Management services in Altamonte Springs. (1998 – 2001)

AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION          (1) Private and corporate coaching on how to form new habit patterns using Habits a la Carte, a process I copyrighted in 1973, (2) problem solving using mathematics, and (3) conducting seminars on issues of soul-level differences (using my E:P:N-ratio Analysis™)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE                  Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Hamilton, Canada, (1957 – 1962). I started as a teacher, became an analyst in 1960, and served my last two years as Dance Director

Arthur Murray Studio, Orlando, Florida (1962 – 1965) and (1972 – 1975). I was brought to the U.S. on a work visa as a specialist of the international style of ballroom dancing, helped with the training of teachers, won three teaching marathons, and earned the first Top Teacher award (1965) at a national meet in New Orleans.

From 1965 – 1972, I taught at our own schools in Lakeland and Sarasota; and from 1977 – 1995 we owned and operated the largest dance studio in Orlando (at 367 N Orange Avenue.)

Since 1995, I am no longer responsible for teachers and their success; I teach only private lessons at places I can rent on an hourly basis. The only school I teach out of is at 644 Florida Central Pkwy in Longwood, FL.

After my graduation in 2004, I did mostly private tutoring in math and English with Middle- and Highschool students.

During 2008 and 2009 I taught at Nanjing University in China (college-levels 3, 4 & 5 as well as "Business Communications" and "Essentials of Business" to prepare Chinese students for studying in England).

Since May of 2010, I have served Lake County, Florida, as a Substitute Teacher working with mainly High School students.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE                  That which I acquired during my years at UCF: One was a short study at CMMS (2003) titled, “C-tests: Their evolution and future—a way of boosting report cards, including the teacher’s?”

The other was a 6-month study at the 9th-Grade Center in Apopka. The analysis of that study is at clozeonline.us/Research/Blum.htm.

My full-scale E:P:N language learning study is now in progress. It is sponsored by and administered through Global EPN Learning Foundation Inc, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation (2011 - 2016)

I also presented my online C-Test program during the Graduate Research Forum at UCF (2003)

RELATED EXPERIENCE                    Fifteen years of serving as a consumer arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau for Central Florida and twenty years of serving and training as a toastmaster (in Clubs 1066, 28, and now 840) have given me problem-solving, coaching, and presentation skills--skills that are bound to bring value to any company or project I serve.
